Two aspects of health that many women don’t normally consider include your relationships with other people and your finances, but if you think about it, both can have very positive and very negative effects on your health!

Think about it; if your marriage is struggling, your head hurts, your shoulders ache, your stomach grumbles and growls no matter what you eat. Your physical health is clearly dependent upon your mental and emotional health. If your finances are tight, you probably aren’t eating a lot of fresh fruits & vegetables, vital to a healthy diet. You might be using the McDonald’s drive-thru more often than you would otherwise and your health definitely pays for that.

While I don’t have any fantastic articles this week, I wanted you to start thinking about the fact that your mental & emotional health are very closely related to your physical health!

Just for kicks though, here are a couple of financial tips I’ve learned in the past year that are worthy of being shared here:
1. Pay off your credit cards before other debts. The interest rates on credit cards is normally twice (if not three or four) times as much as other debts – get these out of the way as soon as you can!
2. Buy certain everyday items used! DVD‘s, CD‘s, books, sporting equipment and even clothes can cost significantly less if you buy them gently used. I have found (new with tags!) $50 pants from The Gap for $7 at the Goodwill because I’m willing to wear used!
3. Money is important, but it’s not everything. You can get buy being broke. I promise!
